Can anyone think of some movies that are set/primarily take place in a hotel or motel?
That is other than Barton Fink, Vacancy, Psycho, 1408, The Shinning, Identity, The Night Porter.
I am looking for inspiration for my thesis project.


Also, I have a theory.
Maybe if I listen to my music loud enough it will hammer out the excess of negative thoughts that are in my head.
That or it could just make me go deaf.
Or I could wear an avant-garde hat and dance around in a diner like I am bat shit crazy. Maybe that would work.

Matty, Steph and I went to see the new Cronenberg movie last night. It was pretty good.
One of the trailers before Eastern Promises was for the remake of Funny Games (I know there are lots of remakes out at the moment but this one has been redone by the original director). I can't wait. It has a release date of early 2008. Hopefully they wont push it back.

I feel much better today.
Plan A for my senior project has been replaced with a new very different plan that I am fairly excited about, and back up plan B is still in place.
I am keeping it a secret for now until I know if I can make it work or not.

Looks like kitty decided to have a party in the kitchen last night while I was asleep.



I woke up this morning to find a light dusting of catnip covering the kitchen floor and an empty bag of treats in her cat bed. Of which she pulled off of the top shelf of the cabinet.

I have been really antisocial the past week or so because I have been at work a lot.
Anything happening Friday, Saturday or Monday? I have those days off and nothing to do.

I know some of you out there have apple computers.
I have a G4 Powerbook that I bought a number of years ago. It works fine however I am thinking of getting Photoshop for it. Does anyone know what the best way (also not insanely expensive way) to upgrade the memory and hard drive space on my laptop???
I get the feeling that in it's current state it isn't really up for space consuming software or digital raw files.
It is CPU Speed:1 GHz, L2 Cache (per CPU):512 KB, Memory:768 MB, and I am pretty sure the hard drive is only 40GB. Not entirely sure how bad that is compared to current models.
Just want to get it working well enough that I can work on projects at home instead of on the computers at Massart.

There are no prices listed on the offical website and I don't really see any online retailers, well at least not for any of the womens stuff.

Found a news story today.
A woman in Texas was driving her car for a few blocks. Heard mewing and pulled over.
Only to find there was a tiny kitten under her hood.
She took it home and four days later found out that her 3 year old dog had started nursing the kitten.
